DIGITAL DESIGN:

Flash and More Fun Stuff

This collection of buttons are geared to invite the user to engage the page and participate in the content. Button design is a small cottage industry unto itself.

Game Zone-TimeLine Twister

I was asked by a publisher of a popular kids almanac to concept and prototype interactive trivia games. The next few slides show some of the ideas submitted.

This one has a series of questions based on information from an existing timeline in the printed edition. To win you must answer all the questions correctly within a set time.

Game Zone-
Ladies First

This drag & drop interactive was fun because it featured the first ladies as the stars of the game.

Game Zone-
Solar System Spin

Spin the spinner to randomly choose a destination in our solar system. Then answer the trivia questions correctly about that destination to achieve lift off.

Game Zone-
Animal Racer

Find out which animal is fastest. This drag & drop interactive lets the user choose from 9 animals to race against each other.

Flash Banners

These print comps where prototyped to include an online banner version as well. Here is a link to the flash banners. They use lots of actionscript and tweens.

James Bond Fan Site

This class project was supposed to be a simple flash audio player but morphed into a fun interactive spy site. Mostly achieved with actionscript. Turn up the sound and be ready to crack the code! GO 007!

ronleighton.com

My site logo grows outward from the dot. The word "dot" now represents the history of the web. What would we do with out the dot? Check out the flash animation of the logo revolving around the dot!

Online Science

Middles School interactive Science text book includes a teachers resource section. It is now in full development. I provided final psd files for the developers. The goal was to make sure it worked on an iPad and was finger friendly.

Online Science

Every subpage of this project had to be completely layed out before the developers could get started. Including all roll over states, pop ups, drop downs, scrolls etc.

Online Math

Interactive math text book for grades 1-6. Every subpage of this project had to be completely laid out before the developers could get started. Including all roll over states, pop ups, drop downs, scrolls etc.

Explore Online

These are comps for the online component of the new Explore reading program. It seems anytime you do a printed textbook it now must include additional online content. I also find that it must first work on an iPad screen size. Shown here is a screen from the grade 2 comp.

Explore Online

This is a page from the grade 4 online Explore comps. Including suggestions for all page navigation. They are still in development.
